If you’ve been looking for a simple, no-fuss makeup and hair routine that takes you from “just woke up” to “ready to go” without spending hours in front of the mirror — this one’s for you. I’m sharing my actual everyday routine, the products I’ve been loving lately, and a few little tricks I’ve picked up along the way. And yes, most of these are drugstore finds!

First, Let’s Prep That Skin
Good makeup starts with good skincare, and I’ve been really into the Neutrogena line lately. Here’s what I do every morning before I even think about foundation:
- I start with the Cetaphil Gentle Scrub to wash my face — it’s gentle enough for everyday use and never leaves my skin feeling stripped.
- Then I apply the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream for sun protection. SPF on the face every single day, ladies — non-negotiable!
- I follow that up with a moisturizer. I love how this one feels — not too heavy, but really hydrating.
- Under my eyes, I dab on the L’Oréal Revitalift Eye Cream. It makes such a difference.
Primer: Your Secret Weapon for Fine Lines
This step is one I don’t skip. I use a pore primer on what I call my “trouble spots” — above my lip, around my nose, anywhere I notice fine lines and wrinkles. It just helps everything sit better and last longer. Totally worth it.
Foundation & That Glowy, Dewy Look
I do my concealer before my foundation — old school, I know, but it works for me! I use the L’Oréal True Match Concealer and apply it lightly. You can always add more, but you can’t take it away!
Now here’s my current obsession: E.L.F. Bronzing Drops. I mix a little into my tinted moisturizer (I’ve been using the Revlon Tinted Serum and loving it) and it gives me the most beautiful hint of warmth. Since I’m always wearing SPF on my face, this little trick helps me look like I actually saw some sun! I’m all about that glowy, dewy finish — and this delivers.
I follow up with a bronzer for a little contour, then add a sweep of Milani Blush. The pigment on this blush is incredible for the price — I actually reach for it over some of my pricier ones!
Eyes: Simple, Pretty & Fast
For eyeshadow, I’ve been reaching for the E.L.F. Eyeshadow Palette. Lately I’ve been loving a gold shade from it for a summery, glowy look — I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do, but it’s become my go-to for daytime.
My newest discovery is this eyebrow pen — it’s like ink on a pen and it brushes your brow hairs up for the most natural, fluffy look. Go lightly the first time! It fills everything in so beautifully.
For mascara, I just tried the CoverGirl Wrap Mascara for the first time in this video. I love a long, narrow wand that can really get close to the lash line, and this one did not disappoint — no clumping, great separation, and it lifts without me even curling my lashes!
Lips
I finished off with a frosty pink Rimmel lipstick — it just adds to that glowy, dewy look I’m always going for. I love a frosty pink. It feels fresh and put-together without trying too hard.
Now For the Hair
My hair routine is just as quick as my makeup routine — I really don’t like spending a lot of time getting ready, and I don’t think you have to!
If I’m on day two or three hair, I spray on some Dark Dry Shampoo. I switched from the white formula to the brunette version and it’s been a game changer. It adds volume AND color back into my roots — and let’s be honest, it hides those greys between appointments too!
Before I touch heat to my hair, I spritz on the Amika Heat Protectant — especially on my highlighted pieces. My daughter is a hairstylist and she is always reminding me to use this. (She’s not wrong.)
Then I use my long barrel curling iron — I think it’s a 1.5 inch barrel — and I do about three curls per side plus a few in the back. I let them cool, then just run my fingers through or give them a light brush. Soft, easy, done. I don’t even use hairspray most days!
