Watch Our Review

So I wanted to show you these, and the reason starts with the size. I pulled one Clean Skin Club Blemish Control Clean Towel XL out of the pack and it’s 10 in × 12 in, which is pretty big, and that’s great. Big enough to actually cover a cheek in one pass instead of getting a corner damp and giving up.

Quick Verdict

The first towel I pulled out was big enough that I stopped comparing it to a wipe. No smell, super clean, compostable. These work as a makeup remover, a drying towel, or a light exfoliant, and they saved me a laundry pile.

Buy if you:

  • have oily or blemish-prone skin and suspect your bath towel isn’t helping
  • already use a cleansing balm and want something with grip
  • travel and want to throw a stack in your suitcase
  • hate washing face cloths every few days

Each Pack Holds 50 Towels

Each pack holds 50 towels. That’s a lot of face days before you think about it again. If your bath towel has been sitting damp between uses and your chin keeps breaking out, that’s the connection these are designed to cut.

Water Alone Wasn’t Enough For Me

You can use just water as well, but I don’t. That’s the one thing I’d flag before you buy these blemish control face towels: on their own they’re a good textured towel, not a remover. When I wanted makeup off, I added some makeup remover directly to the towel. Other times I’d reach for my favorite cleanser or a cleaning balm and work with that.

So if you’re picturing a grab-and-swipe wipe you toss in your bag dry, that’s not quite what these are. There are no added ingredients in the towel at all, and the whole design is texture and durability. Which means whatever you put on it is doing the chemical work. Worth knowing.

The Towel Holds Up Through A Full Pass

They don’t pill or shred when you add product, which is the real durability question with a single-use towel. I soaked one with remover and worked it across my face, and it stayed a towel the whole way through. No shedding fibers, no falling apart at the edge. The edges held a clean line even after I’d scrubbed both cheeks and my forehead, which is more than I can say for the drugstore brand I used before.

The extra-thick exfoliating side is where the grip lives. It’s dotted, and it lifts oil and buildup at the point of drying rather than needing you to scrub. That’s also why one towel can handle a whole routine instead of tearing halfway. And because they’re compostable, which is really important to me, the towel goes in the compost and not into a hamper. You don’t have to worry about doing laundry or anything like that.

CLEAN SKIN CLUB Blemish Control Clean Towels® XL, Extra Exfoliation for Oily Skin, Disposable, Single-Use Face Towelette

The other durability point is what you’re replacing. A reusable face cloth sits damp between uses. A single-use towel doesn’t get that chance. That’s the entire argument for these if you’re blemish-prone, and it’s the part that convinced me.

How I Actually Use Them

My actual order: pat dry with the smooth side, flip to the dotted side, apply cleanser or balm directly to the towel, work it across my face in one pass. The unscented part sounds minor until you’ve been using perfumed wipes for a week, no smell is genuinely the better default for a face product.

They’re also great to throw in your luggage. That’s the use I keep coming back to. Just throw them in your suitcase and away you go, no wet cloth in a plastic bag, no hotel washcloth of unknown history. The 50-count XL pack is easy to pull a handful from for a trip.

Who These Are For

Oily and blemish-prone skin, first and foremost. That’s who the texture and the single-use format are built around, and it lines up with what I noticed. Travelers second. And anyone who’s tired of the face-cloth laundry cycle third.

Who shouldn’t bother: if you already have a cloth routine you like and no breakout issues, you’re paying for convenience you don’t need. And if you want the towel to replace your cleanser, it won’t. If this sounds like your situation though, it’s an easy one to try, and you can check the current price on the pack here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you really compost them at home?

They’re listed as vegan and compostable, made from 100% bio-based viscose with no added ingredients. The catch is product residue: if you’ve loaded one with makeup remover or balm, that goes in with it, so check what your municipal or home compost setup accepts.

Are these safe for eczema or reactive skin?

They’re National Eczema Association accepted and dermatologist approved, plus alcohol-free and unscented. Still, the exfoliating side has real grip, so if your skin is flaring I’d stay on the smooth side and just pat dry.

What happens if they don’t work for my skin?

The brand runs a 60-day risk-free window with a 100% refund. That covers more than three weeks, so you’ve got room to find out either way.
