This color changing foundation with SPF 50 is worth buying if you struggle to match shades and want sun protection built in. The medium shade came out off-white and shifted to my skin tone within seconds of blending, giving medium coverage and a dewy finish. Buy it if you like a glowy result.

Quick Verdict
It came out of the bottle off-white and started shifting before I’d even finished blending the first stripe. Medium shade, medium coverage, a little glowy and dewy, and the color matched me quite well. I’d wear it.
Buy if you:
- never know which shade number to order online
- want SPF 50 already in your base instead of layering sunscreen
- like a dewy, slightly glowy finish rather than flat matte
- are sensitive to heavy fragrance in makeup
Skip if you:
- plan to use the included applicator, I swapped to a brush almost immediately because it spreads better
- want true full-coverage, the medium gave me medium
- prefer a completely matte finish

Color Changing Foundation SPF 50: Off-White to Perfect Match
I squeezed it out and it was an off-white color. Almost nothing like my skin. Then I started spreading it and it was changing already, which is the part that still gets me every time with these. You can watch it happen in real time in the video, and you can also check the current price on Amazon here.
I did just the lower part of my face first so you could see the before and after side by side on the same face. That’s the fairest way to judge a shade. And it matched me quite well.
What The Money Buys You Versus A Separate SPF
You’re buying a color changing foundation with SPF 50 built in, which means one step instead of two most mornings. Pricing moves around, so check today’s price at the link rather than trusting a number in a blog post.
Here’s the practical math, though. If you’re currently buying a sunscreen and a foundation and a shade you got wrong once already, a bottle that self-adjusts removes the most expensive mistake in this category, which is the wrong undertone sitting in your drawer unused. That’s the real value, not the number of claims on the box.
First Application: Ditch The Applicator
The applicator in the box went down after one pass. It did come with it, which is nice, but I prefer a brush. I find I can just spread it a little bit better, and with a color changing formula that matters more than usual because the shift happens as you blend. Patchy blending means patchy color.

There’s a faint scent on application, clean, slightly powdery, gone within a minute of blending. I didn’t notice it again for the rest of the day, which puts it well below the threshold of foundations that announce themselves on a warm face. If you react to even trace fragrance, that’s still a flag, but it’s a minor one.
The feel was good right away. Not thick, not tacky, and it moved under the brush without dragging.
Where A Self-Adjusting Shade Runs Out Of Road
The color-shift has a ceiling: it matched me well, but it’s not going to drag a bottle pitched at medium all the way to deep or fair. Pick the bottle closest to your actual depth, the technology narrows the gap, it doesn’t eliminate it. That’s the one limit worth knowing before you order.
Same with coverage expectations. If you want something that erases everything in one layer, this isn’t that in a single pass. It’s good coverage, pretty nice coverage, but medium. And the finish leans glowy and dewy, which I like, but if you’re oily and chasing matte, the dew will read as shine on you by afternoon.
I also haven’t put it through a full sweaty gym day on camera, so I’ll say what I can say: it looked good applied and it felt good on. The long-wear claims are the brand’s, not mine.
Would I Keep Wearing It?
Yes. I’m very happy with the color of this one, and when I stepped back from the mirror it read as skin, not as makeup sitting on top of skin. These color changing foundations really do shift to you, whether that’s pH or something else going on.
Skip the included applicator, grab a brush, and this gives you a matched shade, medium coverage, and SPF 50 in one step, which is a better morning than most two-product routines I’ve tested. Check current pricing on Amazon. I went back to this the morning after filming.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I patch test this before wearing it on my whole face?
Yes, especially because of the SPF. Mineral and chemical sunscreen filters are the most common irritants in a base like this, so dab a bit inside your elbow or along your jaw and leave it overnight. Same advice I’d give for any new foundation with sun protection in it.
Does it work over moisturizer or do I need a primer first?
Moisturizer is fine and probably better. I didn’t use a primer. If you run very oily, a mattifying primer underneath will fight the dewy finish a little, which may be exactly what you want.
How do I clean it off at the end of the day?
Use a proper cleansing balm or oil first, then your normal face wash. Anything waterproof or SPF-heavy doesn’t fully lift with water and a cloth, and leaving residue on is how you end up with clogged pores blamed on the foundation.
Can I use this as a concealer under my eyes too?
You can, but go thin. It’s medium coverage, so it’ll soften under-eye shadow rather than block it out, and a dewy formula packed on in that area tends to settle into fine lines. Press it in with a fingertip instead of brushing it.
