Buy if you:
- travel and hate carrying a ton of makeup with you
- contour cheeks, nose and jawline and want one pan for all three
- prefer a brush with powder over a pencil eyeliner
- fill in your brows and want soft depth rather than a hard line

- need a mirror built for eye work, I had to pick up a separate hand mirror to line my lashes and do my brows
- aren’t a highlighter person, the two highlight pans are huge and I barely touch them

The Marbling Is Why I Keep Reaching For It
The first thing I point out when someone asks about the Laura Geller baked palette is the marbling, because it’s not decorative, it changes how the color lands. You swirl a brush over one pan and pick up several tones at once. I really like that because I feel like it gives you more depth of color than a flat single-shade powder gives you.
I go straight to the brush. No mixing, no layering two products. One pass on the cheek and you can see it has quite good color to it already.
Where a 7-in-1 Palette Sits Next to Everything Else
Most full-face palettes make you choose: good eyes, weak cheeks, or the reverse. This one puts three eyeshadows, two baked highlighters, a body frosting and a blush in a single 45 g compact, and none of them feel like filler except maybe the highlights for me personally. The pans are baked in Italy on terracotta tiles for 24 hours, which is the whole Laura Geller thing and the reason the powder goes on soft instead of chalky.
I’d already been wearing the Laura Geller Baked Foundation underneath, so the finishes match. That matters more than people expect when you’re layering powder over powder.
The Mirror Problem
I had to pick up a separate hand mirror twice during one application. Once to line along the top of my eye, once again for my brows. The palette’s own mirror is fine for cheeks and general blending, but for anything close to the lash line I couldn’t see well enough with it. Not a deal-breaker. Worth knowing before you toss it in a travel bag expecting it to be your only mirror.
The other thing: I’m not the biggest highlighter. Those two highlight pans are the most generous wells in the compact and I’ll probably never hit pan on them. My daughters would love that. For me it’s real estate I’d trade for bigger shadows.
A Full Face, Start to Finish
Contour first, and I do cheeks, the side of my nose, around my face, and always my jawline just to help my face pop a little bit. The bronzer picks up marbled so it doesn’t stripe the way a solid contour powder can when you’re heavy-handed.
Then the eyes. The shadow pans are smaller than the rest, but here’s the nice bit: if you ran out, you can always use the highlighter on your eyes too. I start with the basic light color all over the lid. Then I take the dark brown, which I’d mostly use for an evening out, and because it was daytime I wanted a medium look, so I blended the dark and light together and took it into the crease. Blend it out. Doesn’t it look nice? It already gives a nice look to the eyes without being an evening eye.
For liner I don’t typically use an eyeliner a lot. I like a brush with powder now. Same dark brown, run along the top lash line, and it gives a little bit more depth without the hard edge a pencil leaves. Softer, and on older lids it doesn’t drag.
Then brows. Same dark brown again, straight over the arch. I held the mirror up and compared one brow to the other and the difference is obvious, it just fills it in and makes it look like there’s a little bit more depth to it. I didn’t use to do my eyebrows at all. Man, it’s nice to have your eyebrows a little fuller, especially as you get a little bit older. That one pan is doing three jobs: crease, liner, brows. That’s the part that sold me.

What Baking Actually Does to the Powder
Soft cream pigments go onto terracotta tiles and bake for 24 hours before they’re smoothed into the pressed powder you get. That’s why it picks up on a brush like a cream would and lays down without that dusty top layer. It’s also why the swirl pattern exists rather than being decoration. Paraben-free, fragrance-free, gluten-free and nut-free, made in Italy, not tested on animals.
Why It Stays in My Rotation
The Mexico trip was the real test: one compact, no backup, seven days. I came home with contour, blush, eyes, liner and brows all accounted for and zero panic about what I’d left behind. If you’re a heavy highlighter user you’ll get even more out of it than I do, and if you’re not, you’re paying for two pans you’ll leave alone. That’s the trade. The one real tax is the real estate: those two oversized highlight pans are the biggest wells in the compact and I’ve barely scratched them. If you highlight heavily, that’s a bonus. If you don’t, you’re subsidizing two pans for your daughters.

Yes, if you like a neutral eye. The dark brown is deep enough for an evening crease on its own, and you can layer the highlighter shades on the lid for shine. If you want colour or a smoky black, you’ll need something else alongside it.
Does it work over a cream or liquid foundation?
It should, though I wear it over the Laura Geller Baked Foundation so that’s what I can speak to. Baked powders sit best on a base that’s already set, so give a liquid a minute to dry down before you contour over it.
Is it safe for sensitive or reactive skin?
The formula is fragrance-free, paraben-free, gluten-free and nut-free, which covers a lot of the common triggers. Still patch-test a small spot on your jaw before doing a full face if you react easily to new powders.
How do I clean the pans when they get a shiny film?
Wipe the surface gently with a dry tissue to lift the buffed layer off. Baked powders pick up oil from your brush, so washing your brushes regularly does more for the pans than anything you do to the palette itself.
