How this review was made: written from my own video review of this product. Every opinion here is my own, from using it myself.
Quick Verdict
800 lbs of capacity in a 35.9 lb frame that folds down to 7 inches thick. That combination is the whole pitch, and it undercuts most rolling scaffolds. The trade-off is reach: 60 inches is the ceiling.
Buy if you:
- Paint or patch drywall and are tired of climbing a ladder
- Have a small garage, closet or trunk as your only storage
- Need to work on staircase steps, where a ladder won’t sit flat
- Want one platform instead of a ladder plus a tool cart
Skip if you:
- Need to reach above 60 inches of platform height, it stops there
- Want wheels, this one has rubber foot pads, not casters
- Can’t comfortably lift and carry about 36 lbs by rope handles

The Folded Size Is the Reason I Have It
Seven inches thick. That’s the number that sold me on this foldable scaffolding platform, because my garage doesn’t have room for anything that stays assembled. Folded it’s 35 by 15.8 by 7 inches, which slides behind a shelf or under the stairs. Open it’s 71 inches long with a 16 inch deck. You can check the current price and availability here, and for a steel platform that carries 800 lbs it’s competitive with rolling tower options.
800 Pounds From 36 Pounds of Steel

The capacity comes from dual load-bearing bars and a triangular frame, not from sheer bulk. The whole thing weighs about 35.9 lbs, so you’re carrying it by the rope handles yourself, no second person needed. Powder-coated alloy steel means a damp garage won’t wreck it between seasons. The 36 lbs is the catch: you’re carrying it by rope handles in and out of position every time you move, and that adds up on a full day of repainting a stairwell.
Seven Height Settings, and Why Stairs Matter
The adjustment runs 35 to 60 inches across 7 levels, with no tools required to fold or set it. The stair use is the one I’d point to: a ladder on a staircase is a compromise every time, and being able to set each side at a different gear changes that job completely. The anti-slip grid deck and rubber foot pads are doing the rest of the work, gripping hardwood and tile without sliding. Check the listing for the full height chart.
Who Should Pass on This
Anyone working on a two-story exterior should look elsewhere. Sixty inches of platform height covers one-story interiors, garages and stairwells, and that’s the limit of it. It’s also not a rolling cart in the caster sense, the pads grip rather than roll, so you’re lifting to reposition. For a DIY homeowner doing ceilings, trim and drywall patches, the 800 lbs of rated capacity and 7-inch folded profile makes this a practical choice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit in a car trunk?
Yes. Folded it’s 35 Γ 15.8 Γ 7 inches, which fits a trunk, a truck bed or a closet. That’s the main advantage over a fixed scaffold frame.
Does it scratch hardwood floors?
It has rubber foot pads designed to grip hardwood and tile. Place it, don’t drag it, the rubber pads protect the floor when the platform is stationary, but the steel frame will scratch on a slide.
Does it need assembly out of the box?
No tools required. The folding design and the height adjustment are both tool-free, so unfolding it and setting the gear is the entire setup.
