I pressed my thumb into the footbed and felt immediate give, these sink under pressure like a pillow, not a rigid board. You can grab a pair and check the current price at the Cloudsole insoles listing here. These are orthopedic insoles for plantar fasciitis, so my main thing was arch support and heel stability, and I’ll get into both.

Quick Verdict

Plush, squishy, and super stable straight out of the shoe. These Cloudsole orthopedic insoles for plantar fasciitis gave me real arch support with a 180° heel cradle, and they slid into every shoe I tried without fuss. I’m really happy with them for walking and golfing.

Buy if you:

  • walk a lot or spend a full round golfing on your feet
  • want plush memory foam with a defined arch ridge
  • care about sweat and odor control inside your shoes
  • swap insoles between a few different pairs of shoes

Squishy Enough to Notice on the First Step

What’s Inside These Cloudsole Insoles

Memory foam with a defined arch ridge and a 180° heel cradle. That’s the short version. They’re made of PU memory foam and you can see here they have a really great arch support that’s built right into the shape, not just a flat pad. The heel uses a U-shaped design with gel inserts for shock absorption, and the surface has that honeycomb perforated look that’s meant to keep air moving so your feet stay cooler and drier.

One thing I liked is the little ACU pressure points along the footbed. They kind of give your foot some stimulation while you’re walking, which can be a little bit relaxing. And if the insole runs a touch long for your shoe, these are trimmable, so you can cut them down to the width you need.

Walking and Golfing Is Where They Earned It

The 180° heel cradle is the reason I kept reaching for these over my old flat insoles. On the back nine, when heel fatigue usually starts creeping in, my foot stayed locked and level, no lateral roll on uneven ground, no creeping shift mid-stride. The foam does real shock work too; the difference was obvious on concrete paths compared to walking on my original shoe insoles.

The sweat and odor control held up through a full 18 holes, no damp footbed, no funk when I pulled my shoes off at the car. They also dropped straight into my golf shoes and a pair of casual sneakers without any trimming, which I didn’t expect.

The Acupressure Nubs Aren’t for Everyone

Those ACU pressure points are a love-it-or-not-so-much feature. I found them relaxing, like a little foot stimulation while I walk. But that same stimulation is something some feet won’t want pressing up on them all day, especially if you’re sensitive underfoot. And because the whole insole leans soft and squishy rather than firm, anyone who’s used to a rigid, structured orthotic might find these a little too plush. That’s not a knock for me, it’s just how they feel, so it’s worth knowing before you slide them in.

Who These Fit Best

The sweet spot is someone managing low-grade foot fatigue, plantar fasciitis flare-ups, achy arches after a long walk, the kind of soreness a flat stock insole makes worse. The trimmable design means they’ll move between your sneakers, casual shoes, and boots without a second pair. Skip them if your podiatrist has you in a rigid custom orthotic; the squishy foam will undercut whatever correction that device is doing.

A Couple Tips Before You Slide Them In

Check your sizing against the shoe first, and trim if needed. They come in men’s and women’s variants, and they’re meant to be cut to your shoe width, so don’t skip that step if the insole feels a hair long. I’d also give the acupressure nubs a walk around the house before committing to a full day out, just so you know how your feet feel about them. Beyond that, they delivered the plush arch support I was after without the stiffness I wanted to avoid.

Pros

  • Plush, squishy memory foam with real shock absorption
  • Really great built-in arch support
  • 180° heel support that feels super stable
  • Sweat and odor free for walking and golfing
  • Fits well into any shoe and trims to your width

Cons

  • Acupressure nubs won’t suit sensitive feet
  • Soft and squishy rather than a firm, rigid orthotic
  • Not a substitute for a prescribed medical insole

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cut Cloudsole insoles to fit my shoe?

Yes. They’re designed to be trimmed to your shoe’s width, so if the insole runs a touch long you can cut it down for a custom fit. Trace your old insole or existing footbed as a guide before you snip.

Will these fit in work boots and sneakers?

Yes, they’re built to work across a wide range of footwear, from casual sneakers to work boots. I found they fit really well into any shoe I tried. The trimmable design is what makes them adapt across different pairs.

Do they help with sweaty or smelly feet?

They’re sweat and odor free thanks to the honeycomb perforated, moisture-wicking design. Air circulates through the footbed to help keep feet cooler and drier during longer wear. That’s a nice plus if you run warm inside your shoes.

Are these firm orthotics or soft cushions?

They’re on the soft, plush, squishy side rather than a rigid orthotic. The memory foam adapts to your foot with a built-in arch ridge and gel heel inserts. If you want a stiff, structured orthotic these will feel too cushioned.

How do I clean the insoles?

Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry fully before putting them back in your shoes. Memory foam doesn’t love being soaked or machine washed, so keep it gentle. Letting them dry completely also helps with the odor control.

What are the little bumps on the footbed for?

Those are ACU pressure points that give your foot some stimulation as you walk. I found them a little bit relaxing, but if your feet are sensitive underfoot they may feel like too much. Walk around at home first to see how you like them.

Is there a trial or return option?

The brand lists a 30-night trial with a full refund if you’re not satisfied. That takes some of the risk out of trying them if you’re unsure how memory foam will feel for your feet. Check the current listing for the exact return terms before ordering.

Can I use them for standing all day at work?

Yes, the plush cushioning and shock absorption make them a reasonable pick for long days on your feet. The 180° heel support kept me feeling stable through walking and golfing, which carries over to standing shifts. Just size and trim them to your work shoe first.
